Helen White MPS
βIn a culture plagued by loneliness, exploitation, and uncertainty, it is understandable to feel that things are not going as well as you'd like them to be. Gentle guidance can help you move toward a solid place even in difficult circumstances. I'm Helen, and I'm a scientist-practitioner focused on root-cause healing. Clients and I collaborate to cultivate security and connection both internally and externally. In our work together, we will gradually clarify, release, and integrate layers of identity and emotional experience; navigate here-and-now problems; and work toward solidifying foundational life structures.
Meeting and unburdening unheard parts of ourselves can lead to lasting relief. I use a variety of techniques and adapt flexibly to support what individual clients need in a given session. I specialize in long-term depth and shadow work, somatic work, artistic expression, and psychedelic integration, and have received training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I have also published and presented original research on complex trauma and mental health in scientific journals and at national and international conferences, which further informs an evidence-based, cutting-edge approach to therapy. Most clients would describe me as warm, informal, patient, and genuine. I have particular interest in working with people with complex trauma and have experience and expertise in serving diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Thank you for having the courage to begin this vulnerable process. It is my priority to offer a dignified, culturally responsive, and compassionate space for people from all backgrounds, and to establish trust and emotional safety as prerequisites to effective therapeutic work. If you think we could work well together, I would love to hear from you.β
