Jen is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a background in medical and hospice social work prior to her career in psychotherapy. Jen has passion for helping those with grief and loss including traumatic loss and child loss. She also has clinical interest in serving clients struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma. Jen primarily works with adults ages 18+.
Jen is a very down-to-earth person who is not quick to judge. She strives to be a person in your life that you can be open with and who will listen to understand. She will truly care about you. Jen primarily utilizes a humanistic, relational, person-centered and strengths-based approach with her clients. Her work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy and trauma-informed therapy. She may utilize techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Jen truly believes her clients are the experts in their own life. She aims to empower her clients through her work.
Jen aims to be genuine and compassionate in both her work and her life. In her free time, you might find her enjoying time with family, camping, snowmobiling, reading, watching movies, or eating out.
