Payton Schneider MSW LICSW
Everyone deserves to feel seen, accepted, and valued. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma-informed, social justice-oriented perspective that embraces the inherent goodness and resilience of each person, while highlighting the importance of interpersonal connection. In sessions, I bring energy, humor, honesty and compassion, aiming to balance validation with skill-building as we collaboratively explore pathways to growth and self-acceptance.
I specialize in ADHD, trauma, relationships, shame, and identity. I am deeply committed to tackling the unique challenges of neurodivergent individuals in a world that predominantly favors neurotypical norms. Drawing from my personal journey as a clinician with ADHD, I offer empathetic and creative guidance to support those navigating similar experiences.
My therapeutic approach is primarily Relational and Attachment-Focused, integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). This integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, fostering holistic healing and personal development.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy socializing with friends and family, listening to all of my favorite tunes at full volume, and cheering on my Wisconsin sports teams. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with you. Let’s embark on this journey together!
